ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSES

Today our government, companies and individuals are seeking ways and means of promoting the learning of the English Language, so that we can compete on the international platform.

TPM College's English Language Courses are designed with distinct characteristics to meet the needs of our learners as they acquire the four skills of the English language. The learners skillfully learn to:

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY COURSES

Intensive and extensive courses are held to help local and international students achieve competency in the English Language for professional or academic reasons. Students are taken through the following levels in order to be able to use English in their everyday oral and written communication; thereby, becoming confident in communicating their ideas.

English For Beginners
· English For Beginners Level 1
· English For Beginners Level 2

Advanced English
· Advanced English Level 1
· Advanced English Level 2


ENGLISH SKILL COURSES

The short courses, given below, are held for learners looking to improve certain specific skills for personal and professional satisfaction.

· Beginner's English provides the groundwork for essentials of the English language and equips students communication skills for the most common 'everyday' situations
· Conversational Skills develop general communication skills to meet personal, social and professional needs

· Writing Skills emphasizes the basics in which the 5 distinctive keys of learning - Purpose, Focus, Material, Structure, and Style - bring about rhetorical ingenuity

· Academic Study Skills enables students to become independent learners at college level where time management, taking lecture notes and knowing how to utilise resources, especially the library, is of utmost importance

· The Analytical Writing course induces students to exercise their critical skills on flawed arguments and master the formal processes of reasoning

· Public Speaking Skills reaches out to overcome 'fear' and encourage learners to become confident speakers in academic or non-academic circles

· Business English enhances career prospects to enable learners to work effectively in various business settings

· Report Writing Skills are a comprehensive means of being able to write reports and to give oral presentations upon the subject matter of those reports


TERTIARY COURSES

We prepare students wanting to enroll into local or international universities and who need to first pass English entrance tests such as:
